Physical Therapy

Our Programs emphasize personal one on one attention to you, the patient.

Our experienced staff of professional licensed physical therapists work with our patients doctors to achieve the highest level of patient recovery possible.

Aquatic

Aquatic physical therapy is rehabilitation that is done in a heated pool of water. Aquatic intervention should be used when the soothing properties of water will advance rehabilitation when compared to traditional land therapy alone. Our exercise instruction is given by experienced physical therapists trained in aquatic therapy

Orthopedic & Gait

Your care begins with a comprehensive evaluation of your condition to assess the dysfunction. This examination includes tests and measures for strength, joint range of motion, ligamentous integrity, mobility/gait, and balance. The evaluation, combined with your doctor’s diagnosis, determines your treatment program and begins progress toward realistic goals designed especially for you.

Hand Therapy

At Mary Lou Corcoran Hand Therapy Center, our state of the art facility, equipment and experienced staff are ready to provide all of your hand, arm, and shoulder therapy needs. In conjunction with your goals, and in close consultation with your physician, our staff is committed to providing you with the most caring and effective treatment available.

Balance & Neurapathy

Mary Lou Corcoran Physical Therapy offers a falls and balance program. This special program is designed to identify people who have a history or risk of falls. A physical therapist will administer a standardized test (Berg Balance Test) to determine the risk of falls. The therapist will also do a complete physical therapy examination to assess for any other contributing factors.

Sports Rehab

Sports Rehab means more than just treating the injured body part. Do you know your injury could be caused by a weak link in another part of your body?

Womens Health

After undergoing a mastectomy, lumpectomy or reconstructive surgery many women experience changes in their quality of life. Often scar tissue builds as a result of surgery causing a restriction in arm or chest movement and a feeling of tightness in the surrounding muscles.

Pediatrics

Pediatric Physical Therapy Specialized care for your child by licensed physical therapists with over 30 years of pediatric experience.

ASTM

Augmented Soft Tissue Mobilization
Chronic pain may develop over time as the result of trauma to the muscles or tissues. Injury or overuse will result in the production of scar tissue which results in pain. Accumulation of this unhealthy tissue restricts natural movement and decreases blood flow to the injured area resulting in weakness, pain and risk of reoccurring injury.

Back School

The MLCPT "We've got your back!" back school provides patients with information on protecting their back, explanations of common back injuries and simple ways to prevent injury or re-injury to their backs.
